WHAT a DAY for a D-A-Y-D-R-E-A-M

A cloud-filled sky if perfectly reflected in smooth glass-like water

DAYDREAMING

Jo Ann Tomaselli ~ Fine Art Photography

Dense fog rolled over the Intracoastal Waterway and the cloud-filled blue sky and glass-smooth water mirrored each other so perfectly that except for a thin strip of brown marsh, it was difficult to tell where the sky ended and the water began.

This extraordinary mist filled daydream lasted for hours and with familiar boundaries blurred, I felt as if I’d entered an entirely new terrain; as if I’d been lifted beyond this world and settled on another planet.  This mystical-magical ambiance brought to mind esoteric writings of mystics & scientists on the nature of reality and how a split-second moment of in-sight can shift perceptions of time and matter.

Albert Einstein, when talking about the subject of the mystical, had this to say:

“The most beautiful and most profound emotion we can experience is the sensation of the mystical…
To know that what is impenetrable to us really exists, manifesting itself as the highest wisdom and the most radiant beauty… this knowledge, this feeling is at the center of true religiousness”.

Wishing all of you countless mystical-magical moments throughout the new year!

Merry Christmas! ~ 2014
